BIOGRAPHY Rebecca Pearce was trained in Bel Canto technique in Italy and is currently a resident company member of Opera Idaho where she's enjoyed roles such as Zerlina in Don Giovanni, Ado Annie in Oklahoma, Nella in Gianni Schicchi, and Countess Ceprano in Rigoletto. She was also a resident company member of Opera Elect, a company that brings living composers works to life. Rebecca Toured Italy with Operafestival Di Roma in the role of Susanna in Marriage of Figaro, and performed with Nino Soprano. She also sang for the Governor's Inaguration 2023, has guest soloed for Boise Hymns of Thanksgiving 2022, 2019 and 2017, performed at the Century Link Arena which aired on PBS, and placed in the nation's top 20 in both Musical Theater and Classical Emerging Pro Divisions in the National Classical Singer Vocal Competition 2019, top 40 in both categories in 2018, as well as top 40 in the National Classical Emerging Pro Division in 2016 and 2017. She was 4th in region at 2016 NATSAA 44th Annual NATS Artists Awards Competition for Singers. There, she was praised by judges for her “great stage presence and character,” “beautiful voice, impressive range, and absolute control.”
Currently in 2 bands, Rebecca Pearce & Whiskey Tango is known for Blues, Funk and Soul, and Rebecca Pearce & the Eklectics.. formerly known as & Friends, is well known for Blues, Jazz, Classic Country, Classic Rock, American Songbook, and sold out tribute shows such as, Patsy Cline, Judy Garland, Nat King Cole, Sarah Vaughan, Doris Day, Speakeasy, Vintage Holiday concerts, private and corporate events. She was also lead singer with The B-Town Hitmen, as well as Trials and Tribulations Blues band where she was featured on the Boise Blues Society's CD, Idaho Women sing the blues. Rebecca is a classically trained actress at the Utah Shakespearean Company where she performed for 5 years, as well as, performed in theater companies throughout the western United States for over 20 years in roles such as, Katherine in Shakespeare’s Taming of the Shrew, Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady, Grace Farrell in Annie, Annie Oakley in Annie get your gun, Dora in Fiorello, Ursela in Little Mermaid, Christine in Phantom of the Opera, Cosette and Eponine in Les Miserables, Narrator in Bad Guys of Broadway, Muzzy from Thouroughly Modern Millie, Grandma Tzeitle and Fruma-Sarah in Fiddler on the Roof, Mrs. Cratchit in A Christmas Carol the musical, and she starred as Eliza Snow and Sarah Brown Young in Utah Historical Pageants. Locally, she performs and works with theaters such as Watson’s Playhouse, Huckleberry Star Theater, Boise Little Theater, and Boise Music Week. Rebecca also served as Vocal Director for Dreamweaver Productions. She is a featured soloist in the recording series with violinist Kevin Lee at the Romantic School of Music, and works as an actress, voice-over artist, Casting Director, and more with film companies such as Mindwind Films, Truesong Studio, Brightland Productions, Jormungandr Productions, and Findley Productions. Rebecca organizes and performs community fundraisers and concert series such as the Love of Music concert series with pianists Chad Spears, Sean Rogers, Kelsey Webb, Betsi Hodges, Jeff Romero, and Lydia Brady including guest artists Sara Stejskal, Andrew Peck, Jason and Michelle Detwiler, and Curtis Crafton. A Night to Dream, Doris Day to Donizetti, and Patsi Cline to Puccini Concerts with Chad Spears and Kelsey Webb. Rebecca served as both MC and soloist at Impact Dance Alzheimer Benefit Concert and the 2018 Muscular Dystrophy Benefit Concert. She was guest soloist and conductor at the Boise Refugee Benefit Concert at Cathedral of the Rockies, guest artist at the Detwiler’s Party of 4 concert, sang with St. Luke’s Hospice Singers, guest soloist and conductor at Meridian's Community Collaborative Easter Program, Boise Festival of Trees soloist, and performed for several other private and corporate events including singing the National Anthem at Boise Hawks’ games. Rebecca has been a soprano soloist in Handel’s Messiah , Vivaldi's Gloria, and a Charles Gounod Concert. She soloed for Peter Covino's Orchestral Choir, performed with EVMCO Millennial Choirs in Phoenix, Arizona, Dr. Brady Allred’s Salt Lake Choral Artists, and St. George Heritage Choir among others. She has performed as a Guest Soloist for a variety of events, including Something Special, Threads of Gold, and the LDS Women’s Area Conference. Rebecca has been happily married to her college sweetheart for 24 years and is the proud mother of four talented children. She currently operates her own voice and piano studio. She has led church choir, children’s choir, and community music groups for over 20 years and volunteers in schools and communities. |
